1. Consider Straightening Your Teeth
There are plenty of reasons to have straighter teeth, such as appearance, health, and less chance of fracture or cracking.
The biggest reason, however, is likely appearance because our society places a lot of value on having straight teeth.
There are a lot of ways that you can do this now if your teeth are not naturally perfect and straight, so don’t worry! A lot of people use braces or other types of products to get straight teeth.

2. Keep Your Teeth and Gums Healthy
Part of having a good smile is having a good looking mouth. Inflamed gums or rotting teeth are not going to give off that effect.
Be sure to regularly brush your teeth and floss in order to avoid cavities and gingivitis. Both of these can result in a smile that is lackluster.
Although it may seem like common knowledge, there are plenty of people that really don’t know how to care for their teeth. If this sounds like you, there is information out there that can help you.
Remember to see your dentist regularly and have your teeth cleaned by a professional as well.
3. How to Improve Your Smile: Be Natural
When you are having your photo taken, you don’t have to bare all of your teeth. It is much more appealing to the eye when a person in a photo is smiling gently because it appears to be a more natural smile.
If you think about it, when you find something amusing or something makes you happy, you are not going to have a huge smile on your face. You likely will just have a slight smile and this is what looks best for most situations.
4. Consider a Whitening Treatment
A lot of people believe that they have to have perfectly white teeth for them to be good enough, but there is such a thing as too bright when it comes to whiteness on teeth.
Go for a natural look that makes your mouth look clean and fresh. Stained teeth give off the appearance of a dirty mouth, even if you don’t have one, and this can result in a smile that is less than perfect.
5. Practice in a Mirror
It may seem silly, but practicing facial expressions regularly is a great way to train your face to do exactly what you want it to do at a moment’s notice.
If you know that your smile is not quite what you want it to be, go ahead and take some time every day to practice in the mirror. Not only will you be able to see what others see, but you also have the opportunity to correct and amend the parts of your smile that you may not like.
