Propylene Glycol

Not only does it not leave a thick film in your throat, but it doesn’t leave build up in the pen either. And because it turns to vapor so quickly, it hits more like a cigarette. So those who are wanting more of a cigarette feel, this is the better choice.
Another great quality of propylene glycol is that it is tasteless and odorless. Both awesome traits to have in a vape juice if looking to taste the flavoring as is.
But, there are downfalls. Vape juices made with propylene are said to dry out the mouth and throat. So you can’t use it too consistently if this is a problem for you.
There’ve also been reports of users experiencing side effects. Propylene glycol can cause irritation or allergic reactions. And users shouldn’t continue if side effects occur.
Vegetable Glycerin
Luckily, there is another option! There have been little complaints of vegetable glycerin side effects. So, if you have a bad reaction to the propylene glycol, then this is the juice for you!
Vegetable glycerin is thicker. It will leave a film-like texture on the back of your throat. It’ll also cause buildup in the pen as well.
It’s less potent. And it won’t hit as hard or compare to a cigarette.
It has a sweeter taste to it. But that just adds to the sweetness of the flavoring. And thanks to its thicker consistency, it won’t leave your mouth dry!
Mixture
Ah, yes! Hybrids are awesome! Some vape juices come as a mixture of both ingredients.
Depending on how you prefer it, the mixture will contain certain amounts of each. The mixture vape juices give the user the thick cloud of vape that the vegetable glycerin gives and the strong hit that the propylene glycol offers.
Nicotine Levels
How much nicotine that is in the vape juice depends on your preference. And it’s not a requirement. Those who rape for recreational purposes often don’t use vape juice containing any nicotine.
Nicotine levels in vape juice range from none and low to high and extra high. No nicotine would be 0mg. And it ranges all the way to 24mg.
A normal cigarette has 18mg of nicotine in a hit. But as concentration rises, the levels rise. So for someone who is making the transition from cigarette to eCig, a higher level of nicotine might work better.
